OUT 12/13: New High-Octane Single from NY-based Hard Rockers Ryder
While rock 'n' roll and punk may have seemed to fade alongside the closure of CBGB, bands still bring that spirit and energy roaring back to life. One such band is Ryder, a hard-hitting rock quartet from Queens, NY, fusing classic rock influences with a modern edge. They are set to release their highly anticipated album Menagerie on January 31, 2025, and have already dropped the electrifying single "Southbound," which has racked up over 22,500 streams since its release on November 8, 2024.
The band's latest single, "Queen Viper's Kiss," premiered on V13.net and will be available on December 13, 2024. With this track, Ryder teases more high-octane material from Menagerie, showcasing the fiery, unrelenting energy that defines the album.

"'Queen Viper's Kiss' embodies the high-octane side of Ryder's new record, propelled by the swagger and rock 'n' roll charm of frontman James Ryder," says V13.net. "With lead guitarist Max Knight laying down electrifying solos, the track serves as a fierce anthem for balls-to-the-wall rock 'n' roll."
The band explains, "This track is a venomous tale of betrayal and survival, wrapped in a ferocious mix of searing vocals and relentless guitar riffs. 'Queen Viper's Kiss' captures the essence of resilience and strength amidst chaos."
Ryder describes Menagerie as a bold new chapter for the band. "Following a lineup change in January 2024, this is the first album to feature our renewed dynamic and creative energy. It's a vivid tapestry of human experience, blending raw emotion with powerful instrumentation. Each track offers a unique perspective on struggle, triumph, and identity, reflecting our evolution as artists. From blistering hard rock anthems to haunting melodies, Menagerie showcases our ability to tell deeply resonant stories while delivering unforgettable, high-energy performances."
Fronted by powerhouse vocalist and rhythm guitarist James Ryder, the band draws influence from legendary rock acts while forging their own distinctive sound. Lead guitarist Max Knight serves up electrifying solos, paying homage to the greats while injecting fresh, dynamic twists. Rod Viquez drives the thunderous rhythm section on bass, and Nick Bavaro on drums, whose heavy grooves provide the perfect foundation for the band's explosive energy.
