BRONZE SHARE NEW ALBUM

Last month, the Chicago/Los Angeles-based trio Bronze announced their forthcoming sophomore full-length, Bronze, with a beautiful instrumental track “Grand Canyon.” Today, the eclectic, soft-rock trio – composed of Dylan Ryan, Scott McGaughey and Nic Johns, whose collective musical backgrounds include work with Ben Lee, The Red Krayola, Cursive, Rainbow Arabia, Man Man, The Motels and others – are excited to share a new song “Mezzanine,” and its accompanying video, premiered yesterday by Under The Radar. The album is out now via Shmee Records, and you can order it on Bandcamp. On the album’s inspiration, the band stated that it “...could be explained as the result of art rock, free jazz, and electronic musicians carrying a profound devotion to the records of Robin Gibb and The Carpenters, writing a soft-rock record.”

Speaking on the new song, the band says “The opening phrase of “radio relationships” feels like a phrase that says a lot about this record as a whole. Chasing something intangible, like a memory that keeps changing and slipping away every time you get close. The verses are about a memory then the choruses remind us of that delicate and futile chase. “Whispers on the shore” are almost inaudible, and you only see the lips moving, words concealed by the waves.” “Mezzanine” follows on the heels of “Grand Canyon,” “Light On Shadow,” and the album’s lead single, “Jewelry Is Magic.” The band will be performing a record release show in Chicago, IL at Constellation Chicago on November 1, 2024, with support from Air Blue Gowns, and again in the new year at The Hideout on Friday, January 24th.
