Delaware Music Network & Muzilog Presents… GHETTO SONGBIRD!!!

I first met Ghetto Songbird, aka Samantha Hollins back in the early 2000s at a poetry open mic. I remember her as being a humble and regal talent of light in the room. I was very fascinated by her glowing melanin, beautiful natural hair, and her rock strums and whines on her guitar. She was good then. She is a Rock Goddess now! It was such a pleasure to interview Ghetto Songbird about her music life and the journey that she calls HERstory! Watching her on stage is like witnessing an ancestor speak a hypnotic and foreign tongue as she is accompanied by Ronin Ali on his talking drums and Chris Nelson on his dancing keys. Your attention is commanded when Ghetto Songbird & The Roxploitation Band hit any stage. I encourage you to watch her “Enchanting Rock Goddess Rockumentary” and my personal favorite, “Alley of the Earth” on YouTube! Take a listen to our interview as she speaks of her experiences, tours, and performances, recent journey “At The Crossroad of her African Diaspora Rock Journey Upon the Bush in Ghazni, Botswana” and her future endeavors to add pages to HERstory! We congratulate her and are excited to witness her greatness!
