I’m loving men’s outwear this season. To be quite specific, my favorite overall is the bubble jacket or coat. Also referred to as the puffer, this coat gets a new spin this season with bright colors and extra details. Also there are versions that are boxier and elongated with less of a fill which changes the look overall. This doesn’t take away from the tremendous warmth from this classic coat though. Instead, it pulls the coat together in a very polished and streamlined way, allowing full integration of the coat into your wardrobe completely.
One of my favorite versions of this is the Blizzard Jacket from Woolrich that is sold at Scoop. Representing timeless quality, Woolrich has always been one of my favorite coat designers. They consistently offer stylish appeal in their outerwear. This is of utmost importance as we are covered up so much when it starts to get cold. You want to drip from head to toe in style? Then don’t forget about your coats, gloves, hats and scarves. You can certainly make a fashion statement with your outwearwear.
I am also a huge fan the quilted Kenneth Cole reversible puffer jacket. It’s sleek versatility will definitely keep you warm and the metallicized effect is subtle, yet powerful at once. Kenneth is one of my favorite men’s designers.
Calvin Klein’s fully lined waterproof bomber is a great way to stay dry during the usually rainy season of fall. The lining is quilted for extra warmth, especially on those colder days to keep the chill out and the sleeve has a cell phone pocket. You can find both of these jackets at Macy’s.
Marc Jacob’s “Peter Parka” coat is simply impeccably executed. The coat falls Mid-length (at the knee) and features a fur lined hood and fur interior on the hood. The waist band includes an adjustable tie belt so you can fit it like a trench and flatter your frame. This is a very defined look that is upgraded by added design for the season. The printed lining is simply masculine and classic.
If you’re the ultimate dapper gent and favor the black on black look of the season, then the Louis Vuitton line is for you. The look of his line overall is relaxed and slightly deconstructed with an edge. I am personally loving the black metallic leather trench. Very futuristic, very trend driven and appealing to the eye overall. This is what we have come to expect though from Louis Vuitton and their runways have continued to be strong from season to season.
Don’t forget to accessorize, guys. Scarves, hats and gloves aren’t solely to be used for warmth. You can definitely step the overall look of your outfit up yet another notch by effortlessly tossing a scarf around your neck. I love some of the ones being sold at Club Monaco and Michael Kors announced their new accessory arrival for men just today. Sean John offers some great hats that are extremely dapper and will definitely be the topper on an already outstandingly stylish and masculine look. Stay warm but look great doing it.
These are some of my favorites, gentlemen. Follow the guide of trend and your appeal for fly men’s fashion, pair it with your impeccable taste and understanding of what looks good on you and update your outwear this season. You won’t be sorry that you did.
