Are you in love with life right now? Have you settled for mediocrity? I’ve settled in the past thinking life as I once knew it was fine. At the time, it seemed easier and less complex to simply settle. Occasionally doubt entered my train of thought but I was always able to silence them with reverse psychology reasoning. During this time of my life there was a deep level of sadness and regret that ached to the very depth of my soul and spirit. On many occasions I would cry and always wondered what if or is this all there is? Ten years is a long time to live this way; if only I knew then what I know now.
I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to settle. My favorite quote, “your dreams are what you were meant to be; what you are is what you settled for,” is so true. We are all capable of pursuing what we were truly created to do BUT we have to get out of our comfort zone. Noticed earlier I said “it seemed easier and less complex to simply settle.” Settling didn’t involve any work, it wasn’t uncomfortable, there was no resistance to change because there was none – it was quite effortless but very very depressing.
The life you were meant to live mean you will encounter discomfort at some point or another; change is inevitable; setbacks and disappointment are bound to happen. Knowing and accepting this going forward is the first obstacle to overcome. If you are unhappy with the life you are living, you can change it! Nothing in life comes easy, be ready to work!!! Everything in life is a choice!
