Spoil’d Rotten is the collaboration of four teens: Natalie Ortega, 17,Connor Ernst, 17, Dillon Sutton, 18, and Jefferson Williams, 16. Their music emits a funky and engaging attitude that listeners can expect to hear in their upcoming self-titled album, Spoil’d Rotten on Phatthouse/Bronxbridge Entertainment Inc. The debut single, “Wreck Over You,” is now on iTunes.

It began as an audition for a female alternate band. Shanell Red (Phatt House Entertainment) and manager Pamela Patino of Middle Ground Entertainment with already recruited Natalie, came across Jefferson who blew them away with his amazing voice and guitar licks that left Shanell Red rearranging the group’s original plan.

The musical texture of Spoil’d Rotten with just Natalie and Jefferson needed more so they decided to bring in the music talents of Natalie’s cousin, Dillon, on drums, and their school-mate, Connor, for vocals, keyboard and guitar.

While most of the band resides in New Jersey, Jefferson is a Texas native, giving the band a challenge to overcome. “We practice together once a month,” says Natalie, “Jefferson will come for a week and we’ll rehearse together, go over songs, do photo shoots and rehearse together some more”

When it comes to the writing process, they admit “it’s kind of hard at first to figure out,” but with their determination and devotion, they got
in a groove and it’s working out. Modern technology has helped make this distance a convenience as well. “We use Skype a lot to write, practice and
produce,” Natalie explains.

Currently, “We’re in the studio with D-Moet at E.M.F. Recordings or The Engine Room with Victor Mancusi finishing up our album,” they report. “We’re still in the writing process, but we’ve been working with our producers Big Drawz Music and The Professionallz a lot, we just shot a music video for our single, “Wreck Over You”, and are now perfecting our [stage] performance and promotions for the single release.”

Spoil’d Rotten “wants more people to hear [the music] at this point. We want to tour, we look forward to releasing our album and see where it goes
from there.”

So keep your eyes and ears open and come get Spoil’d….with Spoil’d Rotten.
